Fountainhead, n. the wellspring or source

After three challenging years with City Hall, the Fountainhead Pub finally opened its doors in March of 2000. Since then we have become a gathering place on Davie Street and in the West End. We have given the community what it was sorely lacking: a meeting place. From the very beginning we have tried to offer a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere to the incredibly diverse people of the West End. Come on in for a pint of beer, a game of pool, our famous Regular 'J' Burger, or just to see and be seen.

In the summer, our street-front patio is the place to be. Soak up some rays and watch the action go by. As the temperature drops, so do the retractable awnings. In winter, sit under a toasty heat lamp and enjoy a specialty coffee or a bowl of our homemade soup.

Whether you want to catch the big game on one of our 7 satellite TVs, play a game of darts or sit back and enjoy the tunes, be it Pride weekend or New Year's Eve, be assured that there is never a cover charge, ever, at the Fountainhead. So join us for a good time. We want to be your source of fun.
